Budget hotels here have been urged to beef up security by installing CCTV cameras in their car parks.
Sarawak Central Region Hotel Association chairman Johnny Wong Sie Lee said there had been cases of hotel guests’ vehicles stolen from the car parks.
He said such gadgets had become more affordable and many hotels had actually installed them to intensify security measures.
Wong also suggested hotels beef up security with the installation of latches.
