YMCA officials are raising funds to renovate the front porch of the 100-year-old building. YMCA officials have planned an open house in October to celebrate the centennial of the structure.

YMCA leaders estimate the renovations will cost $100,000. Agency officials have raised about one-third of the needed funds, O'Brien said.
The porch last underwent an extensive renovation about 30 years ago, he said.
The Greensburg Y began in 1858 after a group of men met to set up the organization, according to the agency's website. About 1908, David Shaw Atkinson devised the rules, along with the construction design for the North Maple Avenue building.
